Algeria demands an end to Israel’s repeated attacks on Syrian territory

Algeria reaffirms the need to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria and to put an end to the repeated Israeli attacks on it.

The Algerian Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amar Bendjama, was quoted by the Algerian WAJ News Agency as saying during a meeting of the Security Council on Syria , speaking on behalf of the “A + 3 Group” consisting of (Algeria, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Guyana): “We call for an immediate cessation of these actions, with emphasis on respect for Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and rejecting any external interference in its affairs.

On behalf of the group, he called for effective international coordination to provide assistance to the Syrian government in the fight against terrorist organizations and to regain control over the entire Syrian territory.

According to Bendjama, the group also called for adequate funding for Syria’s humanitarian response plan in order to address the challenges and repercussions of coercive measures against Syria, which have badly affected the country’s economy and increased the humanitarian challenges facing Syria.
