Algeria calls on the Non-Aligned Movement to activate its role in restoring balance to international relations

Baku (ST): Algeria called on the member states of the Non-Aligned Movement to strengthen and redouble efforts aimed at activating the Movement’s role in restoring balance to international relations, with its new challenges and stakes.

In a speech by Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune at the summit meeting of the contact group of the Non-Aligned Movement yesterday in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, delivered on his behalf by Prime Minister Ayman bin Abdelrahman, President Tebboune stressed that the current international developments require the Movement to assume its responsibility for the challenges facing its countries, and in the forefront of which is the exacerbation of hotbeds of tension, regional and international conflicts, the challenges posed by the arms race, the exacerbation of the climate crisis and health crises linked to the spread of epidemics, which today threaten the lives of millions of people around the world.
