Aleppo: The rights of women and children in Islam in a lecture by the Minister of Religious Endowments

Aleppo (ST): A lecture by the Minister of Religious Endowments, Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Sattar Al-Sayed, at the University of Aleppo today dealt with the rights of women and children in Islam and the issue of domestic violence.
In his lecture on the Grand Amphitheater, Dr. Al-Sayed indicated that Islam gives equal rights and duties  to both women and men, reviewing the position of women in Islam and society since the dawn of history, stressing that Islam has turned women into a leader responsible for building a society that starts from building the family.
On the rights of the child in Islam and the issue of domestic violence, Dr. Al-Sayed explained that morality is the guarantee for society in raising children, pointing to the need to confront the fierce attack from social media and media channels with ethics that hold the family and society responsible for preserving children from intellectual wars that specialize in moral decay.
A number of attendees drew attention to the importance of combating violence against women and children and establishing such cultural activities that deal with basic community issues.
