Aleppo’s festival of childhood kicks off

The festival of childhood kicked off Saturday in the ‘Yasyan’ theater in Aleppo city in order to discover the children’s talents and to take part in psychological support program that aims to overcome the crisis’ effects.

The opening ceremony of the festival, which will last for three days, included lyrical passages performed by al-Assad Coral from the Diocese of the Armenian Orthodox, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency added that a seminar entitled “we are steadfast and we will triumph” was presented during the opening ceremony.

It quoted several participants as stressing their adherence to protect the homeland from terrorism and to rebuild it.

The Baath Vanguards Organization and Teachers Union organized the festival, which in one way or another is a challenge for the terror attacks.

Aleppo city has witnessed this month daily terror attacks carried out by foreign-backed terrorist organizations.

Scores of civilians were martyred and hundred were wounded in the terror rocket fire that also destroyed many homes, mosques and schools.
