Aleppo Marks One Year After Victory over Terrorism

 The people of Aleppo on Thursday marked one year after Aleppo victory over terrorism by organizing a celebration in which official and popular figures as well as martyrs’ families took part.

Thousands of people raising the Syrian flag and banners saluting the Syrian Arab Army poured into the Saadallah al-Jaberi Square and the streets leading to the square. They chanted slogans glorifying the homeland and stressing their steadfastness and support for the Syrian Arab army in the fight to eliminate terrorism and restore security and stability to the entire Syrian territory.

 Military parade in addition to sport and artistic performances were held during the celebration.  

In a speech, Information Minister Mohammad Ramez Turjman hailed the steadfastness of the people of Aleppo in the face of the terrorist organizations and expressed pride in Aleppo victory which is a victory for the entire humanity.

The minister greeted the national media which has been a partner in achieving this victory and has offered sacrifices in defense of rightness and truth, stressing that Syria will triumph thanks to the steadfastness of the Syrian people, the sacrifices of the hero Syrian army and the wise and brave leadership of President Bashar Al-Assad.

Aleppo Governor Hussein Diyab, on his part said “our battle against terrorism will continue until the entire Syrian land is cleaned of terrorists to enable the Syrians rebuild their country.

Representative of the Russian Coordination Center in Hmeimim, Lattakia, Gen. Sergey Chipetrov said the victory achieved by the Syrian army with the support of Russian forces has formed “a huge defeat for the absolute evil represented in terrorism”.

He  added that today, Aleppo is actively coming back to its normal and safe life , noting Russia’s keenness on providing all requirements of the Syrian people’s steadfastness.
