Aleppo liberated by Syrians’ resistance

TEHRAN\ – A senior Iranian lawmaker has said the resistance of the Syrian people and army defeated the United States and its regional allies in the newly liberated strategic city of Aleppo.

The Chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy Alaeddin Boroujerdi made the remarks in a meeting with Syrian lawmaker Zhirayr Reisyan in Tehran on Sunday, according to the Mehr News.

 Expressing congratulations over the liberation of Aleppo from occupation of terrorists, Boroujerdi said the resistance of the Syrian people shattered the enemies’ threats and acts of aggression, Takfiri terrorists, US and its allies.

Iranian senior MP reaffirmed the Islamic Republic’s policy on supporting Syria in its fight against terrorism while focusing on political approaches. He underlined Iranian nation would always support the brave Syrian people.

Boroujerdi highly regarded the constant and regular political and parliamentary consultations between the Iranian and Syrian officials in the current regional circumstances.

Zhirayr Reisyan, for his part, described Iran as Syria’s ally in the fight against foreign-backed terrorists, saying Islamic Repulic plays a pivotal role in establishing peace in the region.

He also hailed Iranian government and nation support for the Syrian government and nation in the battle against terrorism.
