Aleppo: Blood donation campaign launched to help cancer patients

Aleppo (ST): A blood donation campaign was launched in Aleppo by the Syrian Society for the Treatment of Cancer  with the aim of supporting children with cancer .

In a statement, the executive manager of the Society Dr. As’ad Ali said that all the precautionary measures to confront the Corona virus disease have been taken during the campaign which will last until April 23rd, noting that the society provides various services to children including, ensuring pharmaceutical therapy, medical imaging , analyses and residence in Damascus during the treatment period.

 

About 61 volunteers participated in the campaign on its first day, noting that the society would open a new office in Damascus Countryside.

Mustafa Nojoum, one of the volunteers said that participating in campaign is a duty to helpsick children, especially those who have rare blood groups.
