Ala stresses the need to enhance the role of Arab institutions in confronting the dangers facing the Arab Nation
Syria’s Permanent Representative to the Arab League Hussam Eddin Ala has stressed the importance of consolidating the role of the Arab institutions in reactivating Arab solidarity with the aim of confronting the dangers facing the Arab nation.
He made the remarks during his meeting on Wednesday with Speaker of the Arab Parliament Adel bin Abdurrahman Al-Asoomi in Cairo.
Ala stressed the need to support the efforts of the Arab countries to overcome the challenges they face in various fields, especially terrorism, occupation and the unilateral coercive measures imposed by Western countries. He asserted the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in this field, referring to the ways to strengthen relations between the Arab Parliament and Syria which plays a pivotal regional role and which hosts the permanent headquarters of the Arab Parliament.
Ala also noted the importance of overcoming the differences and joining efforts in this crucial stage that the Arab nation is going through to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip. He also stressed the need to support the Palestinian people and the resistance to thwart the forced displacement plans that the Israeli occupation entity seeks to implement through the scorched earth policy and through committing war crimes and genocide with the aim of perpetuating its occupation and liquidating the Palestinian cause.
For his part, Al-Asoomi expressed his keenness to strengthen cooperation and intensify communication and consultation with Syria during the next stage, noting Syria’s key role within the framework of the Arab system and in creating an Arab situation that is capable of confronting dangers.
