Al-Zou’bi: Terrorist Organizations in Syria Have Similar Agenda to Those of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey
DAMASCUS- There is a true international political will, mainly by Russia, to hold the international conference on Syria Geneva II, stressed Information Minister Omaran al-Zou’bi .
In an interview, the minister affirmed that fighting terrorism is a main condition to start a political track to solve the crisis in Syria.
He said that terrorist organizations in Syria have a similar agenda to those of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey.
“Most of these groups belong to al-Qaeda so it is impossible to consider them as a part in dialogue,” the minster added.
He said that Geneva 1 conference was held with Syria’s absence, but this time “we will be there in Geneva 2 to embody the Syrian people’s aspirations.
The minister reiterated that the Syrian government’s delegation to “Geneva 2” won’t talk to the Saudis or the Qataris. They are going to talk to listen to the Syrians.
Al-Zou’bi, who affirmed that Syria needs an all-out national political project, pointed out that national opposition should have a political program, but that the so-called Syrian “opposition” abroad even has no political identity.
He affirmed that stopping the bloodshed, expelling the terrorists and launching the reconstruction process in Syria is possible with the availability of national will.
