MOSCOW,(ST)_Information Minister has underscored that the EU decision related to import stolen oil from ‘armed opposition’ in Syria is a breach of the UN charter and international law.
Omran al-Zou’bi clarified, in an interview with the RT, that all types of wealth are part of national wealth.
He added that the Syrian state exists everyplace in Daraa province, south the country, and even on the Syrian-Turkish border.
“The existence is not necessary is a military form or local council. The Syrian state manages affairs in different ways. Citizens. Who are living in areas where armed terrorist groups do exist, receive their salaries and supplies,” the ministry said.
As for opposition, al-Zou’bi stressed that the Syrian opposition has no political program at all.
Opposition
“The term ‘armed opposition’ has no reference. There is either ‘opposition’ or ‘armed terrorist groups’. Opposition is a peaceful and political principle; however, armed and terrorist groups, as a term, is a security and military principle,” the minister said.
He cited that the armed terrorist groups in Syria attack military posts, rural villages, and some residential areas in which no security or military post do exist.
WMD
Commenting on the Israeli newspapers’ reports about the Syrian government’s use of chemical weapons in fighting ‘armed opposition’, al-Zou’bi said the Israeli newspapers have zero credibility.
“The Syrian government and its armed forces have not used and will never use chemical weapons if they exists in Syria… Here, we do not only talk about chemical weapon only, but also about any weapon of destruction,” the minister added.
He pointed out that Syria is one of the few countries in the region, which have neither weapon of mass destruction nor chemical and nuclear weapons.
Investigation mission
“The armed terrorist groups used chemical weapon in Khan al-Assal area in Aleppo province… Syria has cooperated with the UN to send a team of expert into Syria to investigate the incident,” al-Zou’bi added.
He confirmed that the UN and its Secretary General hindered the mission as they want to expand the UN probe.” They want the mission to be in style of the inspection committee in Iraq that led to its destruction on one hand, and help armed terrorist groups to get away with the crime through neglecting the matter on the other.”
