Al-Zou’bi: Qatari FM’s Anti-Syria Remarks Ridiculous, Reflect Absence of Political Logic

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Information Minister Omran al-Zou’bi yesterday stressed that the anti-Syria remarks made by Foreign Minister of the Qatari regime Khaled bin Mohammad al-Attiyah were very ridiculous that they didn’t even deserve a response.

“The remarks reflect the absence of political logic and the disability to cope with developments and they can be understood as being the normal result of the official Qatari involvement in supporting takfiri terrorism,” Al-Zou’bi said commenting on al-Attiyah latest stances against Syria.

“The Emirate of Qatar is the origin and the emirates of (ISIS) plus (al-Nousra Front) are its branches, he added.

The information minister described the Qatari minister’s remarks as a kind of “political comedy”, particularly when he talks about the legitimacy of regimes and the way these regimes get legitimacy or lose it.

“Qatar is the main sponsor of terrorism in the region and the failure of its efforts to destroy and fragment Syria frightens it.” Al-Zou’bi asserted, pointing out that Qatar refuses to believe that its failure has become a reality.
