Al-Zou’bi: Events in Syria Have Nothing to Do with Revolution

DAMASCUS, (ST)- The situation in Syria is getting better politically and on the ground, Information Minister Omran al-Zou’bi has underscored, noting that Syria events over the past five years have had nothing to do with a revolution or an “Arab Spring”, rather are a US-sponsored Qatari-Saudi-Turkish scheme to undermine the Syrian state mainly serve Israel.

Al-Zou’bi made the remarks during his meeting here on Monday with a visiting delegation representing the Syrian community in Sao Paulo in Brazil.

The information minister said that a large part of the terrorist war on Syria has been a media war. This was proved by halting the broadcast of the Syrian TV on Arabsat and Nilesat as part of the sanctions imposed on Syria, he added.

On their part, members of the delegation, who expressed their happiness for visiting their homeland Syria, stressed that the Syrian national media has succeeded in uncovering the terrorist war waged against the country.

Head of the delegation Ricardo Ajaj said to SANA that the visit aimed at getting information about the situation in Syria, pointing out that the delegation will work hard as to convey the real image about what is going on in the country, particularly because there is a TV and radio station in “Homs Club” in Barzil through which news explaining the reality of events in Syria are broadcast.

He said the delegation’s meeting with the information minister was fruitful as it discussed the possibility of supplying the radio and TV stations of the “Homs Club” with a package of news and documentaries by the Syrian media outlets.
