Homs (ST): The Al-Wadi Conference for Syrian Doctors in the Homeland and Abroad concluded its activities with a series of scientific and medical lectures at the Private International Al-Wadi University in Wadi Al-Nadara area in the western countryside of Homs.
The President of Al-Wadi University, Dr. Shafiq Basil, said in a statement to SANA news reporter that the conference, which lasted for two days, included lectures and scientific research works that provided the Syrian doctors with information and modern technologies in most specializations, pointing to the university’s endeavor to hold this conference every year to keep it constantly renewed, and to be a window to see the latest developments in health and medical sector.
In turn, the general coordinator of the conference, Dr. Ramez Bitar, indicated that what distinguishes the conference this year are the medical lectures on Artificial Intelligence in surgery and scientific research, in addition to the medical topics that dealt with surgery, ophthalmology, diabetes, pain, children, gynecology and internal medicine, referring to the great interaction between Syrian doctors inside the homeland and abroad, which contributed to the exchange of information and experiences to be part of their practical, humanitarian and service work schedule with patients.
The head of the Syrian Association of Endocrinologists, Dr. Reem Murad, indicated the necessity of this important scientific meeting that brought together Syrian doctors with their colleagues residing abroad within this conference, considering that it is a great opportunity for all doctors to benefit from everything new, whether related to diabetes, glands, or other specializations.
