Al-Sudani: Ending the international coalition’s mission is necessary for the security and stability of Iraq

Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani announced today that ending the mission of the international coalition led by the United States has become a necessity for the security and stability of Iraq.
The Iraqi news agency INA quoted Al-Sudani as saying during a dialogue session within the work of the Davos Economic Forum held in Switzerland: “The readiness of the armed forces is a stabilizing factor for the situation in Iraq, and for that reason we have begun to implement the government’s commitment to arrange a dialogue to end the international coalition’s mission in the country.”
Al-Sudani added: “After the attacks on the Iraqi headquarters, we will enter into dialogue to arrange a schedule for the end of the international coalition’s missions in Iraq,” stressing that “this is an official popular demand and we are serious about this matter.”
Regarding the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza, Al-Sudani said: “The security problems of the Middle East ignore the rights of the Palestinian people and their struggle to establish their state with Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital.”
The Iraqi Premier explained that “we are facing a genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza and the international community is ignoring that, while it must assume its legal and moral responsibility towards Palestine and against the occupation”.
