Al-Shibani met with a European delegation in Damascus

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Al-Shibani yesterday in Damascus met with a delegation from the European Union, led by Elaine Le Gal, European Director for the Middle East and North Africa.

During the meeting, the latest developments regarding the lifting of sanctions imposed on Syria were discussed and both sides expressed great optimism about this.

The political situation in Syria and the upcoming entitlements were also discussed, including the planned national conference.

The European delegation expressed its readiness to help in the missing persons file, in addition to enhancing cooperation, joint work, and ways to support the Syrian people at all levels, in a way that serves the interests of all the Syrians.
