“We welcome the positive step taken by the European Union to suspend the sanctions imposed on Syria for one year in preparation for their final lifting, and we look forward to this decision to reflect positively on all aspects of life of the Syrian people and ensure sustainable development,” Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani said in a tweet on X.
