Al-Sha’ar: Syrian government keen to release all kidnapped citizens, reveal fate of the missing

DAMASCUS (ST)_ Interior Minister, Major General, Mohammad Al-Sha’ar stressed yesterday that all the kidnapped citizens whether they were soldiers or civilians were a source of the state’s interest.

During a meeting on Sunday with the security personnel released from “Al-Tabaka”, Al-Sha’ar said “the Syrian government is keen on releasing all kidnapped citizens and knowing the fate of the missing.”

Al-Sha’ar pointed out that president Bashar Al-Assad issued clear instructions to all the concerned authorities to work with full capacity to release all the kidnapped citizens across the country.

“What is happening in Syria serves Israel’s security and US interests in the regions” the minister concluded.
