Al-Rahmoun reviews with the Iraqi Minister of Immigration the situation of refugees in both countries

Damascus (ST): The Minister of Interior, Major General Muhammad Al-Rahmoun, discussed with the Iraqi Minister of Immigration  Evan Faiq Jabro the conditions of the Iraqis in Syria and ways to provide them with the necessary facilitations.

Major General Rahmoun confirmed that the Ministry of Interior is keen to take care of the Iraqis in Syria and settle their situation, pointing out that Syria provides all facilities for the voluntary return of refugees in both countries.

The Minister  added that the Syrian government granted entry visas to Iraqi businessmen to Syria, as well as allowed religious visits to Iraqis, according to a specific mechanism that takes into account the numbers of arrivals and  the necessary health measures in light of the spread of the Corona pandemic.

For her part, the Iraqi Minister underlined the importance of relations between the two brotherly countries and the Iraqi government’s willingness to cooperate with the Syrian government to facilitate the voluntary return of refugees in both countries.
