Al-Quwaysimah Stadium in Jordan will be the ground on which the Syrian national football team will play matches of qualifiers for World Cup Finals in Qatar

The Syrian Football Federation has announced that Al-Quwaysimah Stadium in Jordan will be the possible place on which the Syrian national football team is due to play matches of the decisive round of qualifiers for the World Cup finals in Qatar.

In a statement to SANA, the federation said that based on the will of the coach of the team Nizar Mahrous and on the close relation between the Syrian federation and its Jordanian counterpart, Al-Quwaysimah Stadium in Jordan has been chosen to be the location on which the Syrian team’s matches within the framework of the decisive round of qualifiers for the World Cup finals in Qatar, will be conducted.

On his part, the Jordanian Football Federation welcomed this measure and expressed willingness to provide all facilitations necessary to hold the matches in a good way.

Syria is group 2 of the qualifiers which also comprises Iran, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq and Lebanon.
