Al-Quds Governorate: The occupation carried out 320 demolitions in Al-Quds since last October

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – Al-Quds Governorate revealed that the Israeli occupation authorities carried out 320 demolitions, including more than 87 in the town of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, since October 7.

Wafa News Agency quoted the governorate as saying in a statement today: Each demolition includes more than one house and a commercial facility, which resulted in the displacement of thousands of Palestinians and depriving them of their livelihoods, noting that there are more than 30 thousand properties in Al-Quds (Jerusalem) threatened with demolition, which will lead to the displacement of Palestinians and inflict economic losses on the lives of about 100 thousand Palestinians.

The governorate indicated that the town of Silwan in particular is being systematically targeted, especially the neighborhoods of Al-Bustan, Wadi Al-Rababa and Wadi Qaddum due to their proximity to Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Meanwhile, the demolitions are not limited to the areas located behind the racist separation wall, but have also affected the towns of Hizma, Anata and Al-Ram to pass the occupation’s plans to pave settlement roads and expand the settlements established in Al-Quds.
