“Al-Quds Conference for Palestinian Youth” affirms adherence to legitimate demands of the Palestinian people
DAMASCUS, April.24, (ST)- The participants in the 16th session of the “Al-Quds Conference for Palestinian Youth” have affirmed their adherence to the rights, principals and legitimate demands of the Palestinian people, calling on all advocates of justice and liberation in the world to stand by this people in their struggles to restore their inalienable rights in their historical land in order to return to their homeland.
They stressed, in the conference that was held on Sunday by the Palestinian-Iranian Friendship Association in Al-Jalaa Sports City in Damascus under the title “Al-Quds is the axis”, that the right of the Palestinian people to return to their land and home is not subject to detraction, fragmentation, or circumvention, and it is imprescriptible.
The participants in addition reiterated their stand by Syria in its war against Takfiri terrorism and its supporters, stressing that Syria’s steadfastness, resistance and success in confronting all forms of terrorism enables the nation to foil the schemes of colonialism and occupation and their terrorist tools.
The participants showed appreciation for the policies and principled stances adopted by the countries of the axis of resistance, mainly the leaderships and peoples of Syria and Iran, towards the just Palestinian cause.
The head of the Palestinian-Iranian Friendship Association Muhammad Al-Buhaisi referred in his speech to the responsibility of the Palestinian youth towards their cause and their role in protecting it since all those who have believed in their cause have achieved victory.
He asserted the importance of holding youth activities to enhance the culture of resistance and support the Palestinian struggle.
For his part, the Secretary of the Damascus branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party Husam Al-Samman spoke about the necessity of strengthening the culture of resistance among the young generation with the aim of restoring rights, indication that the educated youths play a key role in the continuity of the Palestinian struggle in the light of the challenges that the Arab nation is Facing.
Iran’s Ambassador in Damascus Mahdi Sobhani reiterated his country’s absolute support for the axis of resistance and the just struggle of the Palestinian people against the occupation entity, referring to the importance of the International Quds Day as a reminder of the Palestinian cause and its victory.
Yemen’s Ambassador in Damascus Abdullah Ali Sabri referred to the hopes pined on the youth’s determination and energies in confronting the plots of the Zionist-American occupation in the region, stressing that there is no way to restore Palestine and the occupied lands except through resistance, unity and Arab and Islamic solidarity.
The Secretary-General of the Palestinian leadership of the Arab Socialist Baath Party Muhammad Qais said that not submitting to the occupation and adhering to the right and resistance will lead to achieve victory.
“ The battle against the occupation entity has become clear…. It is a battle to establish justice, to end the existence of the occupation and to restore the rights,” he clarified.
The conference discussed the reality of the Palestinian cause, its developments, the repercussions of developments in the world on it, the mechanisms of developing the capabilities and energies of the Palestinian youths and means of mobilizing and employing them to serve this cause and the struggles of its people.
