Al-Moallem to Czech delegation: Syrian army, people determined to achieve victory over terrorism
Minister of Expatriates and Foreign Affairs Walid al-Mo’allem met on Thursday with Czech parliamentary delegation headed by Zuzka Bebarová Rujbrová.
The meeting zeroed in on importance of enhancing communication between members of Parliament in Syria and Czech in order to develop friendly bilateral relations in all fields, according to the official news agency (SANA).
The agency added that al-Mo’allem briefed the delegation on the latest developments in Syria under the ongoing terror war waged on the country since 2011 with the support of several regional and international countries and under the unjust economic sanctions Imposed on it.
“Syrian army and people are determined to remain steadfast and to achieve victory over terrorism soon,” the minister said, highly appreciating Czech Republic’s stance towards Syria.
He asserted the importance of the Czech delegation’s role in explaining the real events taking place in Syria to the Czech people far away from fake news being circulated by media outlets that are involved in the conspiracy against Syria.
Head of the delegation expressed her hope that peace and stability will return to Syria, praising national reconciliation program and the Syrian government’s ability to press ahead with meeting citizens’ main needs.
“Czech will go ahead with offering humanitarian aid to friendly Syrian people,” Rujbrová said, referring to the key role of Syria and its geographical position in the region.
She stressed that the delegation will convey the reality of events in Syria and the Syrian people’s suffering to Czech people, calling for enhancing relations between the two countries in all fields.
Over the past two days, the delegation held talks with Speaker of the People’s Assembly [Parliament]and State Minister of National Reconciliation Affairs.
On Monday, the delegation arrived in Syria for a several-day visit upon an invitation from the Syrian parliament. It is composed of four MPs representing various political parties in the Czech Republic.
