DAMASCUS, (ST)_ Deputy Premier, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid Al-Moallem has stressed the important role played by European Parliaments in conveying the truth to their people about what is happening in Syria which is contrary to the images depicted by western medias.
Receiving the visiting Belgian parliamentary delegation on Wednesday headed by member of Belgium’s Flemish Parliament Filip Dewinter, Al-Moallem said that Syria will continue combating Takfiri criminal terrorism and its continued brutality crimes demand the international cooperation to get eliminated.
Discussions dealt with the relation between Syria and western people who realized the reality of the situation in Syria and the role played by some Arab, regional and international governments in funding and training the terrorists and dispatching them to Syria.
“Unilateral sanctions imposed by the west are targeting the Syrian citizen’s livelihood,” the minister outlined.
For his part, Dewinter pointed out that the continued steadfastness of Syria has become a necessity to combat terrorism which is extended to Belgium and Europe.
MP affirmed that he will work along with his colleagues to convey the reality of the situation in Syria and the suffering of Syrian people due to the sanctions imposed on them.
