Discuss DAMASCUS, (ST)- Deputy Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Walid al-Moallem and the UN Special Envoy to Syria Staffan De Mistura today held talks on the results of Mistura’s visits to several capitals in addition to the UN Security Council’s recent discussions on the crisis in Syria.
Talks included Mistura’s initiative at the Security Council about the situation in Aleppo and the need to implement the Security Council resolutions on Fighting terrorism, particularly Resolution No. 2170 which provides for combating Daesh, al-Nousra Front and other al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist groups, in addition to resolution No. 2178 which asserts that all countries should commit themselves to preventing foreign terrorists from entering Syria and Iraq.
According to both sides, talks were constructive.
