Al-Moallem meets Venezuelan and Cuban Foreign Ministers, affirms Syria’s solidarity with their countries against US threats

New York – Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem on Sunday met Venezuelan Foreign Affairs Minister Jorge Arreaza and Cuban Foreign Affairs Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla on the sideline of the UN General Assembly meetings.

Al-Moallem briefed the two ministers on the achievements realized by the Syrian Armed Forces and its allies in fighting terrorism, in addition to discussing bilateral relations and means for developing them, SANA reported.

 

He also affirmed Syria’s solidarity with Venezuela and Cuba in the face of US threats.

The two ministers expressed their countries’ support for Syria’s government and people in the face of terrorism, affirming that the Syrian people will emerge victorious under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad.

Arreaza pointed out to the US interference in Venezuela’s internal affairs, saying that the situation in his country is similar to what is happening to Syria, but the two countries’ peoples will be victorious over those who want to destroy their countries.
