Al-Moallem, Jaberi Ansari Review Preparations for Holding Summit of Guarantor States of Astana Process on Syria

TEHRAN, (ST)- Deputy Premier, Minister of Foreign Affaris and Expatriates Walid al-Moallem and the Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affaris Hussein Jaberi Ansari held a meeting on Thursday to discuss developments of the process of finding a political solution to the crisis in Syria.

Ansari briefed al-Maollem on the preparations being made for holding the trilateral summit of the leaders of the three guarantor states of Astana porcess on Syria.

The Iranian senior diplomat also briefed al-Moallem on the talks the Iranian side has recently held on the situation in Syria and the region, including the talks with the UN Chief’s Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen and with some regional parties.

The two sides affirmed the importance of cooordination between Syria and Iran in the coming era.
