Damascus (ST):  Foreign and Expatriates’ Minister, Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad, is visiting the Arab Republic of Egypt, accompanied by a delegation from the Ministry.

An official source at the Foreign Ministry said in a statement today, “During the visit, which takes place at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Sameh Shoukry, discussions will be held  to strengthen bilateral relations. The latest developments in the region and the world will be also discussed.”

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry visited Damascus on February 27, and conveyed to President Bashar al-Assad a message from President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, in which he affirmed Egypt’s solidarity with Syria and his pride in the historical relations between the two countries, and Cairo’s keenness to strengthen these relations and develop joint cooperation.
