Al-Miqdad: The main role of diplomacy now is concentrated in the economic field

Damascus (ST): Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad affirmed that the primary role of diplomacy now is in the economic field, and every possible effort must be made, especially in the framework of confronting the immoral and inhumane coercive measures taken by the United States and European countries against the Syrian people, which contradict all the claims of the West about humanity towards other peoples.

Al-Miqdad said in a press statement after a cabinet session : Our embassies are permanently alert, and their instructions are to work with all economic actors in the countries in which they are present, and we are with cooperation between the Syrian embassies and the Foreign Ministry and with the public and private sectors and the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce and with Parliament diplomacy, which also plays an active role in communicating with representatives of other peoples through forums that bring us together in events, with the aim of working to overcome these difficult circumstances that we are going through.

Al-Miqdad called on all Syrian embassies to interact with all economic actors, mainly with expatriates, in order to provide the required service and the best way to the Syrian citizen in facing these challenges that Israel and its supporters stand behind, to starve the Syrian people and impose policies that weaken the Syrian people and Syria’s role in region and the world.
