DAMASCUS, (ST)_The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Miqdad received on Tuesday the credentials of the Chargé d’Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Syria Ibrahim Yonosa Mohammad.
The minister welcomed the Nigerian diplomat and wished him success in his task, looking forward to enhancing relations between Syria and Nigeria.
He affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates is ready to offer all required facilities and support to the Chargé d’Affairs to facilitate his task and to exchange viewpoints on enhancing Syrian-Nigerian relations in political, economic and cultural fields, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
The agency added that the meeting between Al-Miqdad and Mohamnad dealt with the joint stances of Syria and Nigeria towards the war on terrorism that poses a threat to stability and security in the Middle East and Africa.
For his part, the Nigerian diplomat said that Syria occupies an important position in the heart of Nigerian people, promising that he will work to develop friendly relations between the two countries in all common files.
