Al-Miqdad receives a phone call from Velayati expressing his condolences over the martyrs of the Military College

On October 8thDr. Faisal Al-Miqdad, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, received a phone call from Ali Akbar Velayati, Advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran for International Affairs

During the phone call, Velayati expressed his deep condolences to the Syrian people following the terrorist attack on the Military College in Homs. 

Velayati affirmed Iran’s full support for Syria in its affliction and its readiness to provide all kinds of assistance to support it and to fight terrorism and those behind it, namely the United States, the West, and the Zionist entity. 

In turn, Minister Al-Miqdad thanked Velayati and the Islamic Republic of Iran for their supportive positions on Syria now and in the past

Minister Al-Miqdad stressed the need to move forward in Syria and Iran’s confrontation of the plans of the enemies of the people, the first of which is the Zionist entity that is now striking Gaza

Meanwhile, Argentina condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the graduation ceremony of officer cadets at the Military College in the city of Homs. 

The Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement: “The Argentine government condemns the terrorist attack that occurred in the city of Homs, which led to the death and injury of dozens of people.” 

The statement conveyed the Argentine government’s heartfelt condolences to the Syrian government and people, and to the families of the martyrs.
