Damascus, (ST) – Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, received on Wednesday a copy of the credentials of Ahmedou Adi Muhammad Al-Razi as Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to Damascus.
Minister Al-Miqdad welcomed the appointment of Ambassador Al-Razi as the representative of his country in Syria, wishing him success in his duties in a way that serves the bilateral relations between the two countries and in the interest of the two brotherly peoples of Syria and Mauritania.
Minister Al-Miqdad praised the relations between Syria and Mauritania, stressing the need to strengthen cooperation and brotherly ties between the two countries and push bilateral relations forward.
Al-Miqdad expressed Syria’s appreciation for Mauritania’s supportive stance in its war against terror, stressing the need for combining joint efforts to stand against Western plans.
On the other hand, Ambassador Al-Razi expressed his great happiness in being appointed as his country’s ambassador to Damascus, indicating the special love and affection of the Mauritanian people for the Syrian people.
Ambassador Al-Razi also expressed his appreciation and respect for the important role that Syria has played to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
