Al-Miqdad receives a copy of the credentials of Iran’s ambassador

On May10th, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad received a copy of the credentials of the new ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Syria, Dr. Mahdi Sobhani

Ambassador Sobhani stressed the depth of the strategic relations between Syria and Iran and expressed his aspiration to work with the Syrian side in order to develop these relations and deepen the link between the Syrian and Iranian peoples. 

 

Sobhani referred to Syria’s victory in its war on terror and his country’s stand by its side for the sake of rebuilding and  strengthening stability.

For his part, Minister Al-Miqdad welcomed Ambassador Sobhani, wishing him success in performing his duties and strengthening relations between the two countries

Al-Miqdad affirmed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ readiness to provide the necessary facilities and support for Ambassador Sobhani needs to perform his duties in the Syrian Arab Republic. 

The meeting was attended by Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Radwan Lotfi, Director of the Asia Department, Dr. Sami Salama, Director of the Protocol Department, Qusay Mustafa, Associate Director of the Asia Department, Dr. Abdullah Hallaq, Director of the Minister’s Office, and Ruaa Sharbaji from the Minister’s Office.
