Al-Miqdad receives a copy of credentials of the new Ambassador of Palestine to Syria

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Miqdad received on Tuesday a copy of credentials of the new Ambassador of Palestine to Syria Samir Al-Rifae.

Al-Miqdad welcomed the decision of appointing Al-Rifae to succeed the late Ambassador, Mahmoud Al-Khalidi who devoted his life-long career to service  the Palestinian cause and Syrian-Palestinian relations, wishing him success in his upcoming duties in the interest of the Syrian and Palestinian issues.

He affirmed that relations between the Syrian and Palestinian brothers are relations of destiny, present and future, and that Palestine is in the heart of every free and honorable Syrian and Arab citizen.

“There is no difference between the two countries despite all the Western and Zionist attempts and plots to separate them,”Al-Miqdad said, pointing out that the Syrians and the Palestinians are united by a common history and destiny.

For his part, the new Palestinian ambassador said that Syria is the real supporter of the Palestinian cause and it paid a high price for its firm stance towards the cause.
