Al- Miqdad offers his condolences to the DPRK Embassy on the death of Ambassador Moon Jong Nam in Damascus
On March 7th, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal Miqdad, offered condolences on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates and its employees to the Embassy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in Damascus on the death of Ambassador Moon Jong Nam, who died in Damascus of a stroke.
Minister Miqdad conveyed his deep condolences to the Korean people and the Korean leadership on the passing of Ambassador Jong Nam, praising the distinguished role and important achievements he achieved for his country during the performance of his duties in Damascus.
Minister Miqdad stressed continued coordination and consultation with Members of the Korean Embassy in various fields in a way that enhances the best and distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Chargé d’Affairs at the DPRK Embassy expressed his utmost gratitude for the Syrian Arab Republic’s sympathy with the DPRK and its follow-up on Ambassador Jong Nam’s health condition throughout his stay in the hospital.
Dr. Ghassan Obeid, Director of the Protocol Department, Khaled Sharaf, Director of the Afro-Asian and Oceania Affairs Department, and Waref Al Halabi, Director of the Media and Translation Department, accompanied Minister Miqdad in offering condolences from the Ministry.
