MANAMA, May.14, (ST)- The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Faisal Al-Miqdad, met this morning with his Lebanese counterpart Abdullah Bo Habib before the start of the preparatory meeting of Arab foreign ministers for the Arab League Council at the summit level, which is hosted by the Bahraini capital, Manama.
The two ministers reviewed the recent developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, the disastrous effects of the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people, and the efforts made to stop the genocide against them.
They also discussed the topics on the agenda of the Arab Foreign Ministers’ meeting and its priorities, mainly strengthening joint Arab action in various fields.
The work of the Arab Ministerial Liaison Committee on Syria, and the importance of its role in a way that respects Syria’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity and contributes to ensuring conditions for the dignified return of Syrian refugees to their country were on the table.
Moreover, the two ministers talked about bilateral relations and issues of common interest, stressing the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination between the two countries.
