Al-Miqdad holds talks with Parrilla in Algiers

ALGIERS, Jul.6, (ST)- The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Miqdad has discussed with his Cuban counterpart Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla the bilateral relations between the two countries.

The discussion was held during a meeting held on Wednesday on the sidelines of their participation in Algeria’s celebrations of the 60th anniversary of its Independence Day.

Al-Miqdad referred to the deep-rooted friendly relations between Syria and Cuba and asserted the importance of the continuity of coordination between the two countries in all fields in the International arena.

He praised the historical developments that Latin America has  witnessed, which confirmed that its peoples are eager to shape their future away from the hegemony of the United States and its tools.

For his part, the Cuban minister affirmed his pride in the relations between the two friendly countries, praising Syria’s steadfastness in fighting terrorism and confronting all the conspiracies it was exposed to.

He pointed out the strength and depth of the friendship and solidarity relations between the two countries.

The two ministers also stressed the need to strengthen and expand economic relations in various fields, in the context of confronting the unilateral coercive measures imposed on the peoples of the two countries.

 In this regard, Al-Miqdad expressed Syria’s thanks and appreciation for the support to confront the “Covid 19” pandemic.

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to exchange visits between officials of the two friendly countries and to coordinate between them in all international forums.
