New York, (ST) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal Miqdad, discussed with the President of the General Assembly of the United Nations Chaba Kuroshi the latest developments in the situation in Syria, and the challenges it faces, especially the fight against terrorism.
Minister Miqdad congratulated Kuroshi on his new position, wishing him success. He stressed Syria’s readiness to coordinate and cooperate with Kuroshi on issues related to his mandate.
Minister Miqdad reviewed the challenges facing Syria, especially completing its battle against terrorism, confronting the effects of unilateral coercive measures and the continuation of the Turkish and American occupations of Syrian territories.
The two sides discussed issues on the agenda of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, where Kuroshi pointed out his aspiration to work closely with the Syrian side on these issues.
