ALGIERS, Jul.6, (ST)-The ways of developing cooperation between Syria and Algeria were discussed on Wednesday by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Faisal Al-Miqdad, and his Algerian counterpart Ramtane Lamamra.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), Al-Miqdad conveyed to Lamamra the congratulations of the Syrian leadership and people to the Algerian leadership and people on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Algeria’s independence.
Al-Miqdad briefed Lamamra on the situation in Syria and the immoral unilateral coercive measures that are being imposed on Syria in violation of the international humanitarian law, as well as the Syrian view point towards the Arab-Arab relations with the aim of reviving joint Arab action to overcome the difficulties facing all Arab countries.
For his part, Lamamra expressed the Algerian government’s readiness to activate cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly countries in all fields.
The two ministers also talked about the situation in the Arab, regional and international arenas and the bilateral relations from various aspects.
They agreed to find joint mechanisms to boost bilateral work at all levels.
