Al-Miqdad condemns Washington’s decision to extend the so-called “Trade with the Enemy Act” against Cuba
Damascus (ST): Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad, condemned the decision of US President Joe Biden to extend the so-called (Trade with the Enemy Act) targeting Cuba.
Al-Miqdad said in a tweet published by the account of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Twitter today:” The economic blockade policies and the imposition of unilateral coercive measures not only violate international law and violate the will of the member states of the United Nations, but have also proven to be futile and have catastrophic effects on peoples.”
Cuba condemned the decision of the United States to extend the Trade with the Enemy Act for another year, a measure tightening the unjust blockade imposed on Cuba for more than 60 years.
Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel said in a tweet, commenting on the US decision: “The crime has continued for a long time, but the Cuban revolution will survive it.”
