Al-Miqdad and Shaaban offer condolences on the death of former Chinese President Jiang Zemin at the Chinese Embassy in Damascus

On December 4th, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad, and the Special Adviser to the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Buthaina Shaaban, offered condolences on the death of former Chinese President Jiang Zemin, at the age of 96, at the headquarters of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Damascus. 

Al-Miqdad wrote a word in the condolence book, in which he conveyed his sincere condolences to the Chinese people and leadership on the passing of President Zemin. 

Al-Miqdad said in a statement to reporters: The death of President Zimin is a great loss not only for the Chinese and Syrian people, but for all parts of the world

Al-Miqdad explained that the late president made a great effort in deepening relations between Syria and China, and was a wise leader and representative of the largest people in the world. 

Al-Miqdad was received by the charge d’affairesat the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Damascus, Yang Shu.

Dr. Shaaban also wrote a word in the condolence book, in which she expressed her deep condolences for the late president, who made tremendous efforts for the glory and dignity of the People’s Republic of China, and for achieving a better future for all humanity.
