Al-Mikdad: Wes’s continuous support for “Israel” makes it a partner in the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al Mikdad stressed that the war crimes and the crimes against humanity committed by the Israeli occupation in its aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip were sponsored and supported by the United States and its allies in NATO, thus making the West a partner in this aggression. He regretted the failure of the international organization to find a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue that restores the rights to their owners.

In a message to the committee concerned with the exercise of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, which held a special session last night in commemoration of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Al-Mikdad stressed that the Israeli occupation entity once again proves its barbarism, aggression and racism towards our people in occupied Palestine, as it continues its bombing of Gaza Strip.

He added that the occupation did not leave a hospital, a school, a place of worship or residential community without targeting them by dropping 40,000 tons of explosives, equivalent to the destructive capacity of three nuclear bombs of the type dropped on Hiroshima in Japan by its sponsor, the United States. He clarified that the Israeli acts of aggression in Gaza have resulted in the martyrdom and injury of tens of thousands of Palestinians, most of them women and children, in addition to detentions and human rights violations against thousands of people in the West Bank, and the rest of the Palestinian territories and the disruption of any role by the United Nations and killing UN staff.

He went on to say that the Israeli occupation entity was not satisfied with that, rather, it expanded its aggressive acts by targeting the Lebanese and Syrian territories, which was demonstrated by its repeated attacks on the airports of Damascus and Aleppo and the Syrian territories in an attempt to escalate the situation in the region and threaten international peace and security.

The Syrian top diplomat, renewed Syria’s condemnation, in the strongest terms, of the barbaric Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip, and its denunciation of all attempts aimed at presenting distorted and misleading interpretations of the Charter, the “right to self-defense”, and equality between the killer and the victim. He also renewed Syria’s call for holding the occupying entity accountable for the crimes it has committed and is still committing against the Palestinian people.

Al Mikdad emphasized Syrian’s firm support for the Palestinian people and their right to self-determination and to establish their independent state on all their occupied terrorists with Al Quds as its Capital, and for ending the Israeli occupation of the occupied Arab territories, including the Syrian Golan, and implementing all relevant UN resolutions, including the Security Council resolutions Nos. 242, 338 and 497.
