Al-Mikdad to Mauritanian Delegation: Syrian State Determined to Restore Control over Every Inch of Its Land

DAMASCUS, (ST)-  The Syrian state is determined to restore control over every inch of its land as to complete the successes it achieved in the war on terrorism, particularly the recent achievements in the southern part of the country, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faysal al-Mikdad has stressed.

He made the remarks during his meeting Wednesday with a delegation representing the Socialist Democratic Unionist Party in Mauritania led by the party’s Secretary General Mahfouz Wild Aziz.

The deputy minister reiterated the importance of the special ties linking between the brotherly peoples of Syria and Mauritania and thanked members of the guest delegation for their solidarity and strong support for Syria.

 On his part, Wild Aziz and the accompanying delegation expressed their pride in the victories being achieved by the Syrian Arab army on terrorism thanks to the wise leadership of President Bashar Al-Assad and the steadfastness of the Syrian people.

Members of the guest delegation hailed Syria’s firm stance on keeping its Arab Compass by considering Palestine as the central cause of the Arab nation. They affirmed the solidarity of the Mauritanian people with Syria in its fight against terrorism on behalf of the Arab nation and in the confrontation of the schemes of Israel and western countries and their tools in the region.
