Al-Mikdad stresses Syria’s desire to boost relations with Nepal

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faysal al-Mikdad and the Nepalese Ambassador to Egypt and Non-resident Ambassador to Syria Jahabandra Brasad Aryal on Sunday discussed methods of enhancing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

A-Mikdad reviewed the latest political and military developments in Syria, stressing Syria’s determination to liberate every inch of its land from terrorism and to rebuild what the terrorist war on Syria has destroyed.

 The deputy minister reiterated Syria’s desire to strengthen its relations with Asian countries, within the framework of the country’s eastward shift policy. In this regard, he stressed Syria’s desire to boost its relations with the friendly country of Nepal, noting the importance of exchanging visits between the officials from both sides.

On his part, Aryal affirmed his country’s desire to boost its ties with Syria in all domains, mainly culture and trade.

He expressed his country’s support for Syria’s right to establish full control over its entire territory and for its war on terrorism, calling for commitment to Syria’s sovereignty, national unity and territorial integrity and hoping that security and stability will prevail soon all over the country.
