Al-Mikdad, Special Envoy of Tajik President discuss repercussions of the earthquake on Syrian people
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad during his meeting today with Ambassador Zubaydullah Zabidov, Special Envoy of the Tajik President and Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the State of Kuwait, reviwed the repercussions of the earthquake and its devastating effects on the Syrian people in the affected areas.
Al-Mikdad referred to Syria’s efforts in rescue and relief operations, and the role of the unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria in impeding its efforts to limit the effects of this humanitarian catastrophe, especially in terms of securing the necessary equipment to confront the disaster, stressing that Syria is still counting on friends from all over the world to support it in dealing with the catastrophe.
Minister Al-Mikdad also thanked the leadership and people of the Republic of Tajikistan for their solidarity with Syria in its ordeal, noting the deep historical relations between the two friendly countries.
In turn, Ambassador Zabidov offered condolences on behalf of the leadership and people of the Republic of Tajikistan to the leadership and people in Syria, wishing mercy for the victims and recovery for the injured. He also expressed the full solidarity of Tajikistan’s leadership and people with Syria, as Tajikistan puts its capabilities alongside the Syrian capabilities to overcome this catastrophe.
