Al-Mikdad receives delegation representing PFLP in Damascus

DAMASCUS, Dec,4, (ST)-The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad has reiterated Syria’s standing by the Palestinian people and their legitimate struggle to establish their independent state with Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital.

His remarks came during his meeting with Deputy Secretary General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) Jamil Mezher and an accompanying delegation on Monday

Al-Mikdad asserted the need to stop the genocide war launched by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinians in Gaza Strip and Israeli crimes against humanity including siege, the destruction of hospitals and residential neighborhoods, and attempts of displacement.

He condemned the Zionist entity’s attempts to justify its war under the pretext of “self-defense,” based on misleading interpretations of the international law, calling for bringing the Israeli officials into justice.

Fir his part, Mezher said that the front highly appreciates the support and the clear stance of Syria’s leadership and people to the Palestinian issue.

He also affirmed that the 7th of October is a day of historical victory over the Israeli enemy.
