Al-Mikdad receives condolences from his Lebanese counterpart over the martyrs of the Military Academy in Homs

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad received a phone call from his Lebanese counterpart, Abdullah Bou Habib during which the Lebanese minister offered his condolences over the martyrs in the terrorist attack on the Military Academy in Homs.

Minister Bou Habib affirmed Lebanon’s support for Syria in this ordeal, wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded and injured, as well as continued stability in the Syrian Arab Republic.

The two ministers discussed the recent developments in Gaza, and the preparations for holding an emergency meeting of the Council of Arab Foreign Ministers in Cairo.

During the call, the visit that Minister Bou Habib intends to make to Syria was discussed. The talks will focus on the issue of the return of refugees and putting an end to everything that hinders this return.

For his part, Minister Al-Mikdad expressed his gratitude for the good feelings conveyed by the Lebanese Minister, stressing the necessity of strengthening Arab action in these difficult times to ensure the achievement of common Arab interests in all fields, confronting the crimes committed by terrorists and the Israeli occupation, and confronting their plans and ambitions in the Arab region.
