Al-Mikdad, Pandor discuss the catastrophic situation in Gaza Strip

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad and Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Africa Naledi Pandor have discussed the tragic circumstances that the Palestinian people are experiencing in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially in the Gaza Strip, as a result of the brutal Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.

During their meeting in Riyadh on Friday, the two ministers affirmed the need to support the Palestinian people, stop the Israeli aggression against them and allow delivery of  urgent humanitarian aid to Gaza Strip.

In addition, Al-Mikdad and Pandor discussed ways to develop bilateral relations between Syria and South Africa. In this regard, a memorandum of understanding was signed on regular consultations between the two countries with the aim of strengthening and deepening cooperation and exchanging views on regional and international issues.

The two sides stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination in the field of combating terrorism, which poses a threat to peace and security in the region and the world.
