Al-Mikdad meets with his Omani, Mauritanian and Tunisian counterparts on the sidelines of Arab Ministerial meeting of AL Council
Cairo – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad on Wednesday held talks with a number of Arab Foreign Ministers on the sidelines of the Ministerial meeting of the Arab League Council, held in Cairo.
Al-Mikdad met with Oman’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi and discussed with him the latest Arab and regional developments and ways to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation between Syria and Oman.
The two ministers agreed to continue consultation and coordination to the interests of the two brotherly countries.
Moreover, during his meeting with Mohamed Salem Ould Marzouk, Mauritania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, Al-Mikdad affirmed that Syria highly appreciates Mauritania’s support for Syria in the face of the terrorist war, stressing that Syria seeks to boost cooperation and coordination with Mauritania to confront common challenges.
For his part, Ould Marzouk renewed his country’s support for Syria in the confrontation of the misinformation campaigns that have been targeting the country, pointing out that joint Arab action without Syria is not Arab action.
Also, Al-Mikdad met with Nabil Ammar, the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad. The two sides expressed their satisfaction over the level of bilateral relations and their mutual support and solidarity in the face of common challenges.
Al-Mikdad and Ammar affirmed the need to work as to liberate the occupied Syrian Golan and the occipied Palestinian territories.
