Al-Mikdad, Iranian Minister of Justice discuss ways to enhance cooperation to face common challenges

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad and Minister of Justice of the Islamic Republic of Iran Amin Hussein Rahimi on Wednesday discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to enhance cooperation to face common challenges.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation and discussed some emerging issues and developments in the regional and international arenas.

Minister Al-Mikdad expressed Syria’s appreciation over Iran’s support for Syria’s war against terrorism, and for Syria’s confrontation of Western countries’ policies that violate international law and attempt to subject other countries to their local laws. He stressed the depth of the relations between the two countries and the close cooperation between them, in order to address various common challenges.

For his part, Rahimi affirmed his country’s support for Syria, reiterating the deep relations between the two countries. He stressed the need for joint action to strengthen them and continue their coordination in various fields, praising the level of cooperation between the Ministries of Justice in both countries.
