Damascus – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad on Monday made a phone call to Egypt’s new Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty, congratulating him on assuming his new position.
The two ministers stressed the historical relations between the brotherly peoples of Syria and Egypt and affirmed the importance of implementing what President Bashar Al-Assad and his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi agreed on during their recent phone conversation.
The ministers discussed
developments in the region and asserted the need to continue coordination and consultation between the two sides on different issues of common interest, in a way that contributes to strengthening joint Arab action, especially in the light of the dangerous developments taking place in the Arab region.
